Lol..man sues federal jail for enabling his breakout from jail and damaging his reputation

An inmate who escaped from a high-rise federal jail in Chicago is suing the Government because he says the government was negligent in enabling his breakout, so he's suing for $10 million for damages.
The 7th U.S. Court of Appeals said in a Friday ruling that Jose Banks "gets credit for chutzpah." But a three-judge panel at the Chicago-based court tossed his 2014 lawsuit.
"No one has a personal right to be better guarded or more securely restrained, so as to be unable to commit a crime," the ruling said.
In a 2012 jailbreak, Banks and a cellmate climbed down 17 stories on a rope fashioned from bed sheets and dental floss, then hailed a cab. Banks, now 40, was caught within days and his cellmate within weeks.

Banks' suit says the damages he suffered from the escape included the trauma of dangling on the makeshift rope in fear of his life.

Authorities dropped the escape charges against him because he was going to prison for decades anyway on a bank robbery conviction.

But Banks, who represented himself in the civil case, alleged his cellmate forced him to participate in the escape, which took months to plan and execute. His suit says guards should have noticed the two were chiseling an escape hole in their cell and should have stopped them long before they fled.

Banks says he has had to endure tighter restrictions than fellow inmates at his current prison because of the escape from the Metropolitan Correctional Center three years ago.

The suit also claims Banks has suffered "damage to his reputation," as well as "humiliation and embarrassment," and what Banks calls "injury" to his "spiritual constitution."

Boko Haram Leader Shekau Releases New Audio, Calls Buhari A Liar, Shares Photo Of Nigerian Soldier They Beheaded (Photo)

Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has reportedly released a new audio where he called President Buhari a liar and discredited the Federal governments planned negotiations with the terror group for the release of the Chibok girls.
In the 25 minutes audio titled “Messages to Nigerian Disbelievers’ Shekau said
“They (the military) lied that they have confiscated our arms, that we have been chased out of our territories, that we are in disarray. We are alive, I am alive, this is my voice, more audible than it was before.
This is Shekau. Buhari is a liar and has deceived you. The army spokesman is also lying. He and his foot-soldiers always run helter-skelter whenever we come face to face with them…
Buhari, you once claimed that you will crush us in three months. How can you crush us?“he said
The group also shared a graphic photo of a Nigerian soldier they beheaded

12 year old girl commits suicide in Mushin

A 12-year-old girl identified as Mulikat Hassan shocked residents in Mushin, Lagos after she allegedly committed suicide.
The little girl was found dead by her parents after she was seen dangling from the ceiling of her parents’ one-room apartment in Mushin.
According to Sunday Sun, a neigbour said:
“I have never seen anything like it before. Yes, I have heard of adults committing suicide but never have I seen or heard of a 12-year old girl taking her own life. I think it is as a result of some sort of spiritual manipulation.”
Expressing pain over the death of Mulikat, another neighbour described the deceased as a very decent and responsible girl.
“She was a very good, responsible and respectful girl. It remains a big surprise to me why she would choose to commit suicide. That morning, before her mother went to work, they both passed by my shop and I admired the fine hijab that she (Mulikat) wore, and I told her mother I liked it and she smiled.”
“When her mother came back from work, she met her other children playing outside the compound and asked after Mulikat. They told her that she was in the house. On getting to the room, she met the door locked from inside and began to knock, thinking that she was asleep.
After banging on the door for some time and calling her name, Mama Mulikat became so worried that she had to scream for help. When we got there, we knocked for a while, still there was no response from inside. So, we broke down the door. The sight was gory.
Mulikat had tied a rope to the ceiling fan of the room and hung herself. Her body was dangling. I feel she had been hanging there for hours since the saliva from her mouth was almost dried up,”he narrated.
According to reports, around 4pm, Mulikat had asked her younger siblings to leave the room, claiming that she wanted to clean it. One of her siblings reportedly said she literally dragged him out of the room when he was reluctant to leave, and locked the door on herself. He said he tried going back inside after some time, knocked but his  sister refused to open the door.

No one could tell for sure what lead to her suicide but some speculated that the deceased may have been frustrated following sexual advances made towards her by an unidentified neighbour. Suspicion has it that the man might have raped the girl who had always rejected his advances.
“There is a man in our compound who has been making advances to the young girl. She had complained several times and the issue had caused arguments between Mulikat’s parents and the man many times. I suspect that the man might have raped her and maybe due to the frustration, she committed suicide,” a source disclosed.
The police have since arrested 8 suspects in connection with the little girl's death.

Army authorities send back pardoned soldiers to fight Boko Haram

The Nigerian Army has deployed 3,032 soldiers that were pardoned to fight Boko Haram insurgents.
These 3,032 soldiers are among the 5,000 dismissed soldiers who were sentenced to death for disobeying a direct order by their commandant to fight Boko Haram insurgents.
It's been reported that on Thursday, the soldiers had been sent to the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, following the completion of a two-week reorientation training programme organised for them at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, Niger State.
A military source said that the soldiers were moved to the headquarters of the 7 Division, Maiduguri, for deployment in the North East.
The source said
“The Army authorities have re-launched the 3032 soldiers who were granted pardon by the review panel into the mission area.
“The soldiers were moved to the 7 Division Headquarters where they are expected to be deployed in various locations in the conflict area.
“You know that they were moved to the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, for a two week training programme for their readmission into the service.
“They completed the course and have been deployed in the North-East sometime last week to add more value to the operation.”
The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said that the soldiers were now ready to fight the terrorists.
He said,
“The committee has concluded its sitting last week and has made certain recommendations that led to the reinstatement of 3,032 soldiers into the Nigerian Army out of the 5,000 cases that were reviewed.
“The reinstated soldiers have shown total readiness to be re-launched into the theatre to combat insurgency and have now commenced a retraining exercise at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, Niger State.
“This training is to reorient the affected soldiers and prepare them for this closing stage of the operational aspect of the counter insurgency operations with more weapons and new leadership.”
Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, Msgr. Gabriel Osu, said it was a great decision for the soildiers to be recalled and that now that are properly equipped they are more willing to fight.
Msgr Osu said,
“We thank God. At least, they have allowed reason to go beyond military style because these guys would have just faced firing squad for nothing.
“If you don’t equip your soldiers, you don’t train them well, you don’t pay them well, don’t expect anything different from whatever has happened.
“This is a very big morale booster; the morale booster is there for them to carry out the presidential task.
“You will see that with backing and with the arms, the soldiers will fight well and they will do their best to crush the insurgents.”

We can see you naked': Neighbours write hilarious letter to students with see-through bathroom window

A group of students were horrified to receive a letter from their neighbor telling them that they could see through their frosted window in their bathroom.
The note was posted through their letterbox by a family living across the road.
One of the students who live at the house said:"We got this letter a few days ago.
"I thought it was hilarious. It's so so hilarious. I just don't get how they can see in.
"We can't see out of the window at all when we're in the bathroom. I think we can see if it's dark or light but that's it.
"We're a group of seven students living in the house but it's a family who live opposite us. If their kids are young we should definitely do something about it.
"We might message the landlord but they probably won't do anything about it anyway. We might have to hang a towel over the window.
"I've honestly never heard of anything like this before. It's a bit of a stupid design to be honest."
Gabi lives in the white, two-story terraced house in Hanover, Brighton, with six of her fellow students at the University of Sussex.
She added: "I don't know if it's a problem with the road, but then I've never stood and stared into the windows to see my naked neighbours
